Indianapolis Rack & Axle Differential

I work at a very well known performance shop here in Indy, and we’ve done business with Indy rack and axle for many years now. I had them rebuild my rack and pinion on my Range Rover, got it back and everything looked good so I installed it and had it aligned. The inner tie rod ended up backing all the way out, leaving my right side wheel fully turned the opposite direction as the left, luckily this happened in the parking lot and not on the highway. I called and let them know about it and simply got an apology. Went to Indy rack and got a replacement axle for my Jetta, brought my core in and we compared the side that was floppy, didn't think to check the side that goes into the bearing, the one we had happened to be wrong, but they rebuilt my core and delivered it to me no hesitation, my rebuild axle looks almost new but drives like new, very friendly staff, my work uses these guys for a reason if you need it done come to them

Delighted with the service here. Friendly and welcoming. I’m a woman travelling on my own and there are lots of stereotypes when it comes to auto repairs. But the guys were able to check my car that same morning before a long road trip, for a reasonable price and no hidden or surprise extras. Highly recommend.

As a Volvo 240 owner in Utah, I've learned it's hard to find certain parts for these relics, like power steering racks. I found a rebuilt rack here, but of course I first called to make sure they actually had one. The nice guy I spoke with said he would go check to make sure. I ordered the part and it quickly made it out to Utah. They answered a couple questions for me and the rack installed easily and perfectly. I'm super happy with the service and price. Timeline: The Mechanic at Rivers Services, Anderson, Indiana suggested I replace my steering rack as a "precaution" when he rebuilt my front-end in late December of last year. There was nothing wrong other than it had 180,000 miles on it. One month later, I took it to Don Hinds Ford in Noblesville to have a full alignment after the rebuild. They had to remount the struts, and then gave it a full alignment and inspection of the front end. It drove well for about 10 weeks.
